FROM OUR FARMSTEAD
TO YOUR FAMILY

OAK KNOLL IS THE PUREST, FRESHEST, & BEST-TASTING GOAT MILK YOU’LL EVER TRY—PRODUCED WITH A PHILOSOPHY YOU CAN BELIEVE IN.

Oh so satisfying rich, tasty milk from happy goats in Northern Vermont. And they’re darn cute, as well!

Icon for 100% Goat Milk

Gut-friendly, feel-good nutrition with less lactose than cow’s milk and more prebiotics, goat’s milk is easier to digest.

A healthy dairy in every way. As a family farmstead, we are caring for each other, our goats, and the earth.

FARMSTEAD DAIRY IS THE BEST DAIRY

Farmstead means we do everything right here, on our farm.

From haying to milking to kid-rearing to pasteurizing and bottling, it all happens here on our land, in our little corner of Vermont.

We’re smashing the corporate food model with milk that:

Never travels to big processing plants.

Gets to your fridge so fresh it’s like you picked it up at the farmers market.

Is 100% pure with naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients. Nothing ever added.

Is made in a way that betters the health and well-being of all living things, from the microorganisms in the soil to the goats foraging in the fields.

Sip The Magic of Milk Bottled on Our Farm

We collect and cool it in our milking parlor.

The milk comes from our healthy, well-fed goats.

We bottle and deliver it at its freshest…

We pasteurize and test it for your health.

so you can serve the best tasting dairy!

Made the Way Nature Intended

Goats eat the high-quality hay we grow.

They turn it into pure, creamy milk.

By-products (manure and bedding) feed our soil.

High-quality grass grows.

MEET THE FARMERS

Ryan And Annie: The Next Generation

There isn’t a time when goats aren’t in Ryan and Annie’s story. Both farmers, they met at a goat farm and bonded over their belief that milk tastes better (and is better for you) when it’s made humanely. Soon they were married and became a force in the food world. Jaded by mega-farms everywhere they looked, they began to search for a new way. A place where the most nutritious, delicious milk comes at a slower pace with respect for all living things.

Bridgman Hill Farm: Created With a Little Help From Our Friends

Ryan and Annie’s dream of a conscientious goat dairy farm came to life in the idyllic Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. They teamed up with award-winning cheesemaker, The Cellars at Jasper Hill to create Bridgman Hill Farm. It’s where all the milk for Oak Knoll Dairy is made. Superior quality standards and a special goat diet allow Jasper Hill to use their milk for their artisanal raw milk cheeses.

George and Karen: The First Generation

The belief in honest food sparked the creation of Oak Knoll Dairy over 30 years ago. George and Karen, the original goat farming power couple, founded Oak Knoll Dairy to make great-tasting, easy-to-digest, nutritious milk that honors goats and the land. When George and Karen retired, their goats and the Oak Knoll way found a new home with Ryan and Annie at Bridgman Hill Farm.

GOAT MILK ISN’T WEIRD. GOATS KIND OF ARE!

Goats sometimes get a bad rap. It’s not because their milk tastes weird (it’s just like cow’s milk when it’s fresh). It’s because they’re quirky. They like to make mischief, snuggle, and make funny faces.

So, we give our 500 goats what they need (playgrounds included), get to know their wacky personalities, let them forage outside, and they give us the best milk around. We keep a close eye on their health and diet with cutting-edge activity trackers that tell us how much milk they make each day.

Why Goat’s Milk vs. Cow's Milk or Nut “Milks”

Goat’s milk has 8g of protein, just like cow’s milk (and more than almond and soy).

It takes less water to make goat’s milk than it does to make nut milks.

Goat’s milk has a smaller carbon footprint than cow’s milk.

Humane Practices

We’ve always used humane practices like good goat hygiene, feeding an all-natural diet, and having adequate shelter and space. We’re excited to become certified humane later this year.
